Larry Lewis is the founder and president of Client Builder Sales & Marketing. His practical, street-smart approach to marketing and sales has helped hundreds of small businesses improve their sales with more control, greater clarity and increased confidence.
Known for his success as a consultant and entrepreneur, he is a highly sought after speaker who brings humor, insight and real-world advice to his audiences. Larry is also the creator of the Client Builder Selling process and Pittsburgh’s first authorized Duct Tape Marketing Coach.
While growing up in a family business, Larry came to understand very early in his professional life how the success of a small business almost always hinged upon the owner’s ability to sell his or her products and services. Although most small business owners launch their businesses because they have a certain technical expertise, they soon come to realize that the most important skills they need to succeed are sales and marketing skills.
Without the right help, many businesses and independent professionals go about it all wrong and suffer years of trial and error before landing on an effective strategy for business development. Oftentimes the business can’t survive the wait. In 1996, Larry Lewis launched his business with the mission of providing small businesses with the tools and training they need to improve their sales performance.
Larry is one of the few business development experts who works with companies on both sides of the client development equation — showing them how to consistently generate more leads (marketing) as well as how to convert those leads into new or expanded client relationships (selling). His integrated, systematic approach to sales and marketing is simple, effective and very affordable for the typical small business.

In addition to his skill as a consultant and coach, Larry is an accomplished writer who has written extensively on the topic of sales and sales management. For five years he authored a popular column on sales and sales management that appeared monthly in Dynamic Business and Smart Business News for which he was dubbed the “Ann Landers for Sales Professionals”. He has also been published in Master Salesmanship, Sales Jazz, Staff Digest, and a variety of other marketing and sales related periodicals and he is currently in the process of publishing his first book entitled “Client Builder Selling”.
